Yes, I finally buckled down and did it! 😉
Welcome to SaraLetourneauWriter.com! It’s just like my previous blog, except with a domain name, a new theme, and a few simple cosmetic changes. I still have a couple other tweaks in mind, but right now I feel comfortable enough debuting the upgraded site to readers.
What do you guys think? Do you find it readable? Less cluttered? Easy to navigate? Also, I’d like to include a Random Facts section on my About page. What kinds of facts would you like to see there? Maybe favorite authors, books, movies, etc.? Anything funny or more unpredictable?
Take a look around and let me know what you think (and what random facts you’d like to know about me) in the Comments section below.
Ooh I love it!!! And your new pic!! It’s delicious – easy to navigate, uncluttered, and pleasing to the eye 🙂 Going to enjoy spending time here even more than usual!

Thanks, Sara! 😀 The pic was taken a couple weeks ago at Gray’s Beach in Kingston, MA.

I came on here and I was like “Wow! She did it!” 😀 Very clean and easy to navigate; I really like the new menu too! I’m still trying to figure out what to do with mine, lol.
What I’d like to know on the About page? Hmm, maybe funny and unpredictable, and what things you like in general. 🙂

*lol* Thank you! It took some time to figure out how to customize the menu with the sub-items, but thanks to WordPress Help I figured out. (I’m not the most website-building-savvy person…)
Hmmmmm, well, what specific random facts would you like me to share? Any ideas?

Hmm, your favorite song from childhood days? Any imaginary friends as a kid? Oh, and what brought/lead you to love fairies as much as you do, to the point where you’re writing a book about them? 😀

It is so pleasant and easy on the eyes, Sara, though I loved the shades of blue in the earlier one too. I would love it if you could create a page for your book reviews. I find it hard to search for those and you know those are one of my favourites, right? As for random facts, anything about one of my favourite writers would be welcome 🙂

Thanks, Zephyr! I loved the colors of Website 1.0, too, but the design / format was very limited / hindering. That’s what drove me to do the overhaul.
A book review index – that’s a great idea! I’ve seen similar indexes at book review blogs. I’ll do some quick research and make it a June project. 😉

Love it! I’ve been wondering about doing random facts on my site too – I always love reading about people’s favorite bands, books, movies, etc. so I may do something like that as well!

Nice. *takes another look around* Very nice! I’ts clear, clean, the menu is easy to use at the top. And I like the larger banner at the top as well. 🙂 As for the About page, I love random facts. 😀

Thanks! 😀 I agree with Hemingway having a classic look to it. And it’s mobile responsive, too. 😉 I tried several other templates when I finally sat down for the “facelift,” and Hemingway had everything I was looking for.

I know I’m late to the party, but the new look looks great! 😀 Eventually I want to transition to my own domain. A friend of mine is learning coding so she’s going to help me with that in the coming months. So excited!

Oooooh, that sounds exciting for your site! Having a friend or someone you know to help with coding will be a huge benefit. Looking forward to seeing what you do when the time comes!
