Must-Read Blog Award: Sara Letourneau

What a lovely surprise to find first thing this morning! πŸ˜€ Fellow fantasy writer and blogger Alex Hurst has been running the Must-Read Blog Award for the past few months. Her choices so far have been fascinating; and her own blog is a wealth of creativity, from posts about her experiences living in Japan to in-depth studies on Jungian archetypes in literature.

Thank you again, Alex, for this honor. πŸ™‚

      • *Bows* I love reading others’ research, lol! I am a major nerd like that. I also love doing research. I’ve been filing all those Japanese monster tidbits because I KNOW that they will be useful. Someday. And Japanese monsters (and Scottish ones too, to be honest) are some of the creepiest, yet most interesting, in my opinion.

      • For both Rebekah and Alex: Have you read either the Element Encyclopedia of Faeries by Lucy Cooper or Spirits, Fairies, Leprechauns, and Goblins: An Encyclopedia by Carol Rose? They’re both reference books that cover all different kinds of supernatural creatures from a wide range of cultures. I actually recognized Alex’s most recent Part-Time Monster subject (kitsune) after reading about the Element Encyclopedia. πŸ˜‰

  1. Thank you for the reblog, Sara, and congratulations. πŸ™‚ I’ve had you in my book for about three months now, and felt right before NaNo was the best time to recommend you. I’ll be following along with your Character Arc series very carefully, as I’m getting ready to plot out some character development for Alta in D.N.A. and want to make sure I’m not missing out on some fun twists and turns I can use. πŸ˜€

    • *blushes* Thank you again, Alex. I’m working on the Comfort Zone article, btw. Not sure if it will be up before month’s end; the past couple weeks have been crazy offline, so I haven’t gotten as much blog-writing done as I would have liked. But it’s on its way, I promise. πŸ˜‰
